Subsurface monthly photo and video snapshot contest
We proudly announce the Subsurface monthly online underwater photo and video snapshot contest. The contest is open to anyone and the participation is free. There are different subjects each month, in February we wait photos and 10-35 seconds long snapshots for the Scuba Diver subject. The winning photo is decided by registered members´ votes.
The picture of the month contest started in 2007, later we added the snapshot contest. In the first few years only Hungarian photographers participated but we decided to invite foreign artists. We made a slideshow of last year's best photos, you can watch it here. The rules and guidelines are translated in English so we encourage every photographers and videographers to join!
As this is our first try with an international contest we would like to see if everything goes smoothly. The best photographer of the year wins a special stauette since 2007 and we certainly will give a similar one for 2012 winner too. We plan to give an extra prize for the yearly winner, a trip or dive package in the future but this time it's more about fun.
