Official Notice from Zeagle to Dealers re: Pinnacle
Dear Zeagle Retailers and Distributors, For over thirty years, Zeagle has built its brand on innovation, quality and attention to design details. Our products have always been thoroughly tested in the field and evaluated by a wide range of divers before being put into full scale production. Eighteen months ago, Zeagle deviated from this proven business model with the addition of a branded thermal protection line. It was a learning experience. For the first time we relied upon the “expertise” of others rather than taking Zeagle’s normal painstaking time to test fit, function, style, and durability ahead of time. The acceptable quality standard for others left us scrambling for continual improvement. In the end, Zeagle found that while fixing problems was costly, it was beneficial in teaching us that designing and building superior suits was no different than designing and building top quality BC’s or regulators; Build it right from the ground up. For this reason Zeagle is selling off all of the current Pinnacle stock to make room for a new offering in the spring. You may rest assured that Zeagle will offer products manufactured to our highest quality standards. These will be products Zeagle can stand behind. No doubt, many of you have questions which will be answered in time, but for Zeagle, the future in thermal protection will be a reputable product your customer will love and you will be proud to sell. This process while costly will make us stronger. We appreciate your input and continued support, are excited about the future and will keep you apprised.
This is a curious statement as one of the things that made Pinnacle attractive was their quality. I know from first hand experience that the Pinnacle quality suffered a bit when they tried to keep up with demand (and there is typically no demand for a poor quality product), primarily with their zipper suppliers. This was well in advance of the Zeagle buy out, so they should have been aware of the issues. Until the merge their customer support was outstanding as well.
It's a shame that two good companies, that both seemed to be doing well in a tough retail market, are now both suffering the consequences.
You are intelligent not because you think you know everything without questioning, but rather because you question everything you think you know

So if no disrributor in the US, who takes care of warranty issues?
Pinnacle will go back to being the distributor in the USA. They will also reopen their Livermore office in California and be back as they were before Zeagle bought them to be their distributor in the USA.
so i just ordered a pinnacle merino 5mm- because of the sale price and the great reviews... it shipped no problem but hasn't arrived yet- should i worry about the quality of this wetsuit? has anyone had a specific problem with the product if/ when it arrived?
Where did you order it from??? Thats the big question. If the person you ordered it from has them in stock won't be a problem, however, if he doesn't have that size and wants to order it from the dealer theres where you will run into a problem since Zeagle or Pinnacle who ever they are now are not accepting orders at this time. I hope you do receive it. I have the same suit and it is excellent. 50F for 55 mins and not cold. I just wish I could find a 7mm of that suit.
I ordered it from scubatoys... they've always been great- i just hope its from older stock and not some lower quality suit that was made before zeagle got all its ducks in a row... we shall see when it arrives
Just wanted to put the word out there that Dive Gear Express has some of these suits in stock. We have marked them down to 50% off. In stock sizes only. While the men's inventory has sold down to limited sizes, we still have a good selection of ladies suits, in both the 3mm and 5mm Merino-Elastiprene.
