Been shooting underwater video for fun using a Gates housing and Sony 900 camcorder. Been happy with the results, but noticed a clear decline in color below 60 feet.

Finally got around to doing a little experimenting with manual white balance.

HOLY SMOKES BATMAN.

Here is a clip shot at 90 feet without lights, white balance manually set using the sand.

I have NEVER got footage with color anywhere near this good below 60 feet using auto white balance.

Looks great and so sharp and clear too! How was the vis?
Right now I'm processing pictures that I took using MWB...it is unbelievable.

Wow!!! Great video. You're making me want to dump my C5050 and go for video.
