    1) Los Angeles County Underwater Unit Basic Skin & Scuba Diving 1970, PADI OW 1997, PADI EAN 2002, PADI AOW 2004, PADI Rescue 2005, PADI MSD 2005
    2) USA
    3) A fair amount for all courses but nothing compared to dive trips, dives, and equipment (for all 4 members of my family)
    4) 65 dives/year over last 5 years

    -Drift: $100 (should have been more - $275 but got a discount - long story involving LDS screw up)

    Blood, sweat, tears, and money were the costs. As Walter said you pay for training and not certifications. Instuctors also pay for the privilege of teaching.

    My instructor renewal fees are approximately:

    PDIC = $85.00 US annually
    PSAI = $150.00 US annually
    TDI = $150.00 US annually

    4. Frequency of Diving

    2 - 5 days per week making 1 - 3 dives per day with approximately 8 non-diving weeks per year

    Australia, but the only cert I did here is OW

    Between USD$300 and $1200 per cert

    4. how frequent do you dive?

    Currently about 100 dives/year

    I live in Canada

    I only dive about 10 dives a year, but I hope to up that in the near future.
