Me and My buddy are having troubles to find suitable tanks.
We live in doha and the Options are not Wide.
We have found one shop who is selling Beuchat tanks.
We want to buy the 15 ltrs - 232 Bar .
We also Found another supplier who can sell us Faber but he only has 18ltrs.
Can someone advise what to do ? We really like the Beuchat but... is it good.
We want to buy Steel tanks because it will allow us to shed some weight off the BCD.
Get the beuchat and dive them, they can be pumped up to 6500, so if you get a place with a booster and 4000 ta 4500 fills (you do the bar translate) and when other tanks come along pick them up knowing how to dive different tanks will make you a better diver. I like mine.
I have read that Beauchat tanks were made by Heiser but that is not up to date information. If they are Heiser then you will probably get the response that they are heavy tanks. See if you can find out who makes them today, it may have changed.
Another problem arise here ;( - The Valve of the Tanks here are not Standard.
My MR22 is not fitting , the tanks have twin valves , each one in a direction.
I think these are old Style . Can this be changed ?
Do you have the latest blue and black round knob on your Mares regs?
The previous generation of Mares yokes were quite narrow.
You really have 3 options.....swap out the valve on the tank, swap out to the wider current Mares yoke or take out the insert to the valve and convert to DIN.
