I will be in central Israel during this summer and I am determined to make my way to liveaboard in Egypt.

My problem is I have no idea how to simply get from Israel to the liveaboard in Egypt. Is this a simple matter? Is there a way to fly from Israel to one of the Red Sea costal towns where the liveaborads dock?

I am seriously considering an Emperor liveaboard or perhaps one of those Explorers that everyone is so fond of.

Is there a simple, safe, and reliable way to travel from Israel to an Egyptian liveaboard dock?

Is there a reliable Israeli travel agent that specializes in dive trips that could set this whole thing up for me?

I never dove outside of the Caribbean so I am clueless about Middle East diving.

I did the same thing about 12 years ago, so I am not sure if it will be the same but I am sure it will be.

As far as I can remember there are buses every day if not more than once a day from most cities in Israel which you can catch all the way down to the boarder at Elat where you can simply walk across (once doing the paper work etc) and on the other side there are always "Taxi's" more like mini buses that can take you right down to the tip of the sini pininsula.

I just remember being told to get to the boarder early so that you dont get stuck without a lift on the otherside.

hope this helps.
