Participate in the REEF Winter Lionfish Derby!

Participate in REEF's 3rd Annual Winter Lionfish Derby on February 7th, 2015 in Islamorada, Florida! Festivities, scoring, and awards will take place at the Postcard in at Holiday Isle, with cash prizes awarded for the most, biggest, and smallest fish! The derby begins at sunrise, and all fish are due back at the dock by 5pm. A mandatory Captains Meeting will take place February 6th at 6:30pm at REEF Headquarters (98.3 Overseas Hwy, Key Largo, FL 33037).

The entry fee is $20 dollars per person with a maximum of four people per team. Register here or call 305-852-0030.

A group of us from Scubatoys were down in the Bahamas last October and a few of us were hunting Lion Fish. We used the ELF Tool (Eradicate Lion Fish Tool). I have seen many options for Lion Fish hunting out there but with travel and size as a consideration we found them to be the easiest to go with.
