Lionfish Removal and Awareness Day is a statewide initiative that encourages divers and snorkelers to collect invasive lionfish from Florida waters. All divers and snorkelers are invited to participate to help combat the lionfish invasion. This year Lionfish Removal and Awareness Day is Saturday, May 16th 2015. You can participate by organizing your own removal trip or heading out with one of your local dive shops. All members of the public are invited to join us at the Postcard Inn on Saturday at 4pm for free lionfish tastings, filleting and dissection demonstrations and raffles.
