    1/2" plug for Apeks

Anyone know where I can buy one of these online? I've tried the usual online places, and a couple of LDS, but none have them.

    hmmm

a seaquest/apeks dealer should be able to order them. Part numbers are: AP1487 for the plug & AP1410 for the o-ring... don't know if that helps... if not, I could check on getting them from the shop where I got mine from and mail 'em to ya.

It won't be listed on the web site of course but you can email or phone them... they have had them in the past.

See if your LDS has one...

I have a whole pile of plugs that my LDS gave me when I asked for ONE :-)

They take so many out when they put the octo, LP inflator hose and SPG on a 1st stage that they end up throwing many away.

As a side effect, it's a cheap way of getting spare O rings, too!

The problem is that rarely do 1st stages come in with 1/2 plugs, so they're much rarer. You can also try a Dacor dealer, I think Dacor used to have a 1/2 port too.

If it's the "standard" 1/2-20 SAE/MS Straight thread boss

Parker fluid conn part # 05CP-5C will work, and should be available from any Parker hose or hydraulic valve distributor.

    Found em

Found a generic 1/2" plug at http://www.diversdiscount.com - going to get a couple. Tried a few LDS - all they had were the 3/8" variety.

    Careful...

I had another brand plug continue to blow out the o-ring on an APEKS first stage. I would go with one from APEKS only. JMO.
