Sherwood Magnum 2 squeals

I have a Sherwood Magnum 2. When opening the tank valve, the 1st stage will squeal as the LP hoses pressurize. 1st stage will also squeal as air is purged after tank valve is shut off & LP hoses depressurize. Otherwise, regulator seems to work just fine w/ no leaks etc. Is this a HP seat problem ?

Not a problem.
I hold in the purge while slowly turning on the air. Stops the 1st stage from locking up so violently and saves wear on the HP seat.
