Well I ended up getting a special deal on some epic cold water first stages paired with a hog D1 2nd. I did go over the $150 per set. But only by about 20.
I really appreciate everyone's input. I think this a great thread for new people.
The Subgear Cayman is a great choice. It is a Scubapro Mk17/S555, just different decals. It is exactly the same in performance and internal parts. It is a 2011 model for under $300 NEW!

So you picked up the black friday price deal. Very cool. That was a helluva deal. Those Epic 1st stages are the same as the HOG D-2, balanced sealed diaphragm. The seconds are also balanced and fully adjustable. Best thing is you can send them to any HOG/Edge dealer for service or if you have a tech you like near you we can sell you the kits to take to him/her for service. And the rebuild is every two years so your maintenance costs are much lower.

Did you get yoke or DIN? If you got DIN regs to use with yoke tanks, you're not going to be too happy....
