Hi all, I just got a pair of the HOG D1 singles package. Being that this is my first and second set of gear I want to try and get it set up optimal from the start. I have not previously dived a setup with a necklace for the octo. But I liked the idea and want to set it up that way.
The setup came with both regs connected to the ports that exit the same side, Since the ports can swivel, lets just say they will come out over my right shoulder. The primary hose is 7' so the question is, would I be better off with the primary hose coming out the fifth port on the bottom so so that it naturally routes down toward my hips and the back up into my mouth of course
Thanks for any advice, Obviously both could work, but I am sure one way is more comfortable or function etc...
My girlfriend has the same setup. She tried not using the 5th port, but after some dives she tried it. Loves it now. Makes me sort of jealous. I've got a Hollis DC2 that doesn't have it. It's a much better, more streamlined and out of the way setup.
