I recently purchased a used set of US Divers Conshelf SE 2 regs, including the 1st and 2nd stages and octo.

What are some opinions of these? I know they are fairly old, but I am having them serviced at a LDS.

To those who have these (if any) what experiences have you had?

Thanks for any input!!

Got a couple of them...

Good reg. Easy repair. Breathability is standard. Not a state of the art but a proven design and very rugged. Mine have been everywhere.

I purchased a SE2 in 1990 and still use it today. No problems. It is a good diaphragm reg. The second stage is a little big by today's standards, but that hasn't bothered me a bit.

The SE2 is a top of the line regulator. It was classified by the Navy as a Group A Superior regulator in 1987 (attached) and is approved for moderately heavy work to 198-feet. It will most likely be adequate for any demand you will ever make of it.

Thanks everyone for the comments. I thought it was a good purchase.
