Changing hose on Mares Abyss 22 Navy

I bought a 7 ft hose for primary mares abyss 22 navy (all black) and the fittings fir the Octo are fine but it has a different fitting connecting the 2nd stage to the 1st stage for the primary reg. How do I take off the fitting on the hose and change it? I know this is very vague but not really sure how to explain it.

One of the ports on the Mares Abyss is designated for the primary second stage. This has a wider orifice than a standard port. To use your new 7ft hose in this port you will need an adaptor. You could also go to a hose specialist and get them to cinch a new fitting to the hose. you willnot be able to transfer the fitting from the old to the new hose. You could also unplug one of the other Mp ports and attach your hose there. Of course then you will need to find a suitably sized port plug. Any decent dive shop should be able to help you for a minimal charge.

this info is correct the mr22 first stage primary port is 1/2 inch the others mp ports are 3/8 inch. your 7ft hose is most likely 3/8 and you can get a 3/8 to 1/2 adapter like this one AA48 Scuba Hose Adapter discounts on sale Trident
