Dear all,
Some people say good things about Scubapro MK25 first stage and G250 second stage. Do you guys have any experiences about them? I have MK15 and G250, I am satisfied with them but looking for another set for doing double tanks.
Thanks
I've got a couple sets of MK20/G250 and I've been pretty happy with them. It's my understanding that the MK20 is the MK25 without the easy IP adjustment.
I had a piston O ring blow out on one of the MK20's recently - just after it came back from it's annual service (yeah, I know, I need to learn how to do this work myself, but...) so they can fail, but it was repaired in about 15 minutes and I was back in business.

Thanks Steven, so you concluded that it's OK to buy MK20 rather than MK25 as long as the IP adjustment is the concern. However, can you describe a little bit about IP adjustment? Thanks
It's my understanding that the MK20 is being replaced by the MK25 - and that the only difference between them is that instead of adjusting the IP by adding/subtracting internal shims, an externally exposed screw has been added to the MK25. You may or may not be able to get an MK20 anymore.
Search this board for more information, I think I remember several threads that discussed this within the past few months...
The MK20 has a retro kit to make it a MK25 that takes about 5 min for the dive shop to install. The tech there changed his stating that if he wanted to make an adjustment at the dive site he could without taking it apart.
I use a MK20/G250 as my main regulator when cave diving. It breaths great. I am really happy with it. It is going to be converted to the MK25 as soon as the parts finally arrive. I will let you know if I notice any difference, although I doubt I will notice any at all.
