    Big Grin should i still use my conshelf se2??

    Hey im new here and was just wondering ......

    With all the new regulators out im still diving with an old US Divers Conshelf se2 first stage and se2 2nd stage......
    Does this make sense??

    (Planing to take both to the LDS for yearly check up Tommorow)

    I also own a Impulse 1st stage and an Impulse 2nd stage

    anyone got any suggestions ideas??

    If you like them, they've given good service, they serve your purpose for the type of diving you'll be doing, and they check out alright I'd say use them!

    Keep those conshelfs.

    They've been a great design for decades, and most of the service parts are in common with the Titan.

    The only thing that kills a Conshelf is a warped or crushed main body....or, cracks in the 2nd stage housing where the hose threads are.

    Specifics

    I get the idea that Bud wants to know what the Conshelf's strengths & weaknesses are. For example, I have heard that it breathes too hard on deep dives & may not be appropriate for someone who wants to try wreck diving.
    When the going gets tough, the tough go diving.
