I have an ATX50 that needs an octopus. I can get a new Dacor Viper octopus at a real good price, so my question is would these be compatible?

Not a good idea. The intermediate pressure of the Apeks is higher than most kit. The Dacor is manufactured for an IP of around 125 psi.

I think it would work ok on the bench, but your dacor octo would freeflow at depth.

IMO you'd be better off getting an Apeks ATX40 second stage to go with your ATX50. I just ordered an ATX40 second from Simply Scuba. I think it was $115.
