i don't know the brand. has anyone seen this type of power inflator hook up on a bc.the bladder seems to have come loose from the bc at the opening. is there any way of repairing this.
Yes, I think this is fixable. Is this an old Zeagle by chance? Anyway, the top of the inflator hose has an elbow, sometimes with a valve. This elbow has a flange on the end that goes into the bladder and is typically glued to this polyurethane bladder opening you're showing. For glue you can use 3M Marine Adhesive Sealant, available at boat shops or online. You can use that to patch leaks in the bladder, too. Hope this helps!
Alternatively, there are after-market elbows that can be attached. They come in two parts, with a rubber seal in between that gets sandwiched with the BC material when clamped together. Just attach the power inflator hose using zip ties and voila! Take note, however, there are some makes that need special tools to ensure the seal is tight, however, with a little gumption, and some aquaseal, you can make most anything stick

I guess it really depends on how big the cut is, but with small cuts I'd say heck yes! Either way its worth a try. It may not look as pretty since the sealant is white and your sausage is probably red or orange or some other bright color, and it may roll up a little funny depending on how big your cut is and how much of the stuff you put on there, but this stuff holds pretty well. A safety sausage doesn't need a tremendous amount of air pressure and probably a BC puts more stress on the sealant than your sausage cut would. I've used the stuff to patch up two BC's of mine (around the inflator hose flange) and I've just used the stuff on a sprinkler line that a squirrel chewed through this week, and so far in all cases holding pretty good with plenty of active use!
