Seaquest Diva power inflator broke.

Bought a Seaquest Diva on ebay for my wife. Power inflator button is F'd. Slow leak into BC, inflating it. Old inflator is salty and corroded.

Where can I get a new inflator assembly for this BC?

I would like to put her in a BP/W (like me), but using it would make her very uncomfortable.

No, I do NOT want to put on an Air II. I just want a power inflator.

Thanks

Don

BTW-this attempted repair involved a hammer and crowbar. Like an idiot, I was fixing this BC on the picnic table on the deck. Part of the inflator button fell off the picnic table and through the cracks in the deck. The deck sits on the ground. I had to pry up two boards to recover the part.

This was after getting stood up by a dive buddy and going home to try out the wife's new used gear in the pool. Only to find the power inflator button was stuck. Glad my wife was not planning on getting in the lake with a sticky power inflator!

Later,

Don

PS-I really do need a power inflator if someone can hook me up!

You can get one at Adventure Sports II on East Ann St. in Montgomery... but I don't know if that's very close to you or not.

Almost any inflator will work and there a number of them out there. The two best are made by Zeagle makes a very good one, Halcyon makes one I think you might be able to drive a truck over and then there are any number of inexpensive ones.

Call your local dive shop and ask them if they stock anything - if they don't, you're correct, they're limp. If you try www.scubatoys.com you will find a fairly complete selection. Cressi and Genesis make a couple of $20 ones that will do the job.

Update-

Joe at SCUBAToys informed me that the Seaquest powerinflator is proprietary and I need to go to a Seaquest dealer.

I called Seaquest and they will not sell parts to consumers. Odd-a company that will not sell to people who want to buy things from them....

So now I have to take it into a Seaquest shop to have it serviced. I could do it in 10 minutes if I had the part. Who knows how long the shop will take.

How f'n lame is that. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Greed is everywhere.
