According to the Santa Rosa 'Communicator' July 14th, A ghost was sighted in the Blue Hole on July 4th by two instructors from Colorado!? The unidentified scuba instructors described seeing and communicating with a lone diver with a pink tank at the bottom of the Hole near the grate, upon surfacing there was no sign of the mystery diver.
Sella is quoted in the article, the instructors asked if she had seen the other diver and she replied that the instructors were the "only two divers there all day" The instructors reported the incident to a local police officer who stated "I've heard reports like this on at least five other occasions"
Spooky stuff, otherwise there were few people diving last weekend, July 16, none Friday afternoon and only the first row of parking on Saturday. Visibility was excellent, with the bottom clearly visible from the surface Friday. Stella is up and running as usual.
Anyone out there know who these mystery instructors from Colorado were? Other ghost sightings?
But why would a ghost need a tank? Would he need a drysuit? Was he practicing CESA drills? Interesting that the instructors were not identified. I guess Santa Rosa needs all the ghosts they can get!
Honest... I ran out of gas. I... I had a flat tire. I didn't have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake. A terrible flood. Locusts! IT WASN'T MY FAULT, I SWEAR TO GOD!
That's the best (coolest, spookiest, etc.) side effect of depth narcosis / oxygen toxication / water pressure intolerance I've ever heard. Power of imagination is a great force.
