    Diving in Iceland?

Hey there everyone! Going to Iceland this Friday and they offer diving in the Silfra Ravine which is between the two continental plates of America & Europe. Has anyone ever done this? I'm asking if it's worth going cuz it's kinda pricey.
I've been to many places in my life, none of which have made me feel so insignificant as the ocean.

    Can I come?

Never been but it sounds like it could be very interesting.

Quick question, unless your profile needs updating, do you have enough experience or skill for this dive? If you're not sure, you ask the operator how diffidult these dives are.

    Have a great trip.

Have PADI Open water. This is a two tank dry suit dive. Minimum certification is Padi open water. They train you to use the dry suit. Visibility is crystal clear and depth is 10m-30m. You are accompanied at all times by divemaster.

I am jealous.... I did some research on Silfra and would put that in my top 5 places to dive... I know it's a lot of money, but I am sure you would completely enjoy the experience... How often does one get to travel to Iceland.... I've been there once, when I was 12... Had to make an emergency landing while flying back from Europe.

IF you do get to dive...PLEASE take photos and post.... I hope you get to do it....

Really jealous! I lived there for three years (Keflavik) and loved every minute of it. I just wish I'd been certified then and could have taken advantage. Now I have to wait until I can afford to fly myself back there........

Hey everyone, what does one wear inside the drysuit? I know I can't wear my suit cuz I would probably overheat but do I wear just long johns and thick socks? Can I wear my dive booties?
    How about gloves?

I was there in January and dove there, it was amazing. It was expensive, but completely worth it as it is like nothing I have ever dove before. I am looking forward to doing it again.

I did my certification dives in Silfra last month with Scuba Iceland. I highly recommend them, and the dives were amazing...
