Action quest, Sail Caribbean, or Broadreach

Anyone been on any or all of these summer scuba trips? Which company did you like better and why? Any recommendations? Any disappointments? Im deciding between the Advanced Open Water 17 day for broadreach, Charlie 14 day for Sail Caribbean, and Neptune 17 Day for Actionquest. Thanks!

My daughter hasn't been on Sail Caribbean or Actionquest but she has gone on 2 Broadreach trips and they were fantastic! She knew nothing about diving before the trips and now, as an adult, it remains something that she is very passionate about. She got to dive in some unbelievable places and got all the certifications. I highly recommend Broadreach trips, their instructors' knowledge and passion about diving are infectious. You will have the time of your life and it will be something that you look back on years from now and realize how beneficial it was to you.

My son has done 2 Broadreach trips and LOVED them. He was a more experienced diver than most on the trips but Broadreach was able to accommodate him and another teen who had a lot of experience. DS has made such close friends through his trips that the boys have travelled hours to visit each other. He is hoping to do his Divemaster/Instructor training through BR when he hits 18.

I'm 18 and signed up for the Broadreach Underwater Discovery Voyage Advanced trip this summer and I'm really excited. I looked at Actionquest and Sail Caribbean but what it came down to was that every time I looked for other people's experiences with these types of programs, all I ever saw for the most part was everyone saying how amazing Broadreach was. The other main reason I choose this trip was because I wanted the chance to get to do a lot of great diving, but this particular Broadreach trip has a lot of sailing with it and I wanted the chance to get to learn something new.

    Thumbs up

I have gone to ActionQuest for three years, and absolutely love it. My first year i did the vega program, where i got certified for scuba diving and sailing. Last summer, i did neptune, we went diving everyday and had a blast! i not only got my advanced open water certification, but many specialties like deep diving, wreck diving and night diving. This past summer i did the Rescue program and got my rescue scuba diving certification. Each summer gets better and better for me and i can honestly say that i have never met someone on the trip that didn't feel the same way as me. It's life changing and gives you a chance to meet so many people from around the world, and many of those people are some of my best friends that i still talk to everyday.

I've been to Actionquest for three years running and absolutley love it. Not only does it give you the opportunity to discover or greatly improve your diving skills, it also teaches you important life lessons. I got my Open Water certification there, the following year I got five different specialisations and then last year I became a Rescue diver. Actionquest allowed me to confirm my interest in Marin Biology and I would strongly recommend it to anyone. I had many friends do the Neptune program at Actionquest, and they could not have been happier with the balance between diving and other activities. Really, you won't regret ActionQuest

I've been a shipmate with ActionQuest for the past four years. I loved the Neptune program so much, I have done it twice! The staff are the most incredible people you'll ever meet in your life. All of them are highly trained and are knowledgeable about scuba diving and marine science. With Neptune, you can earn your Advanced Open Water, Night Diver, Wreck Diver, Boat Diver, Equipment Specialist, and Underwater Naturalist specialties. We dive over many different sites, and over the course of 17 days we do maximum scuba diving. Your child will log more than 20 dives in a 17 day period!

Also, the boats we live on at AQ, specifically for Neptune, a "dive-side" program, are REALLY nice. With proper organization, we can all live on board comfortably!

All of my best friends are from AQ, and many of them live abroad! All these people from around the world come together to share this incredible experience and have fun exploring our passions.

I highly reccomend ActionQuest and as a soon to be 5th year shipmate, I invite you to contact me with any questions you might have!

I have been to ActionQuest for the past three years and they have been the best 3 summers of my life. The 1st summer I went I did the Vega program and got my open water cert and my basic sailing cert. My 2nd summer was on the Carina voyage and I received my advanced open water and 3 specialty certs and my advanced sailing cert. My 3rd summer I participated in the Dolphin program which focuses on Marine Biology. This program is awesome! You get to use some awesome underwater cameras and you get to learn about our awesome oceans from some awesome teachers. Not only are you having the time of your life diving and sailing in some of the most beautiful waters in the world, but you are learning valuable life skills. Your time at ActionQuest will be amazing!

I have done Action Quest for the past three summers and it was the experience of a life time. All the programs at Action Quest are amazing and i highly recommend Neptune at Action Quest because not only do you get your Advanced Open Water Diver, you also get Underwater Naturalist, Night Diver, Wreck Diver, Equipment Specialist and Boat Diver Specialties. Plus you get the Action Quest experience of sailing and diving the British Virgin Islands. Its the best way to go!

I worked as a trip leader for Broadreach for several years. Simply stated, if you have the opportunity and means to attend a Broadreach adventure- take it! You will not be disappointed. BR adventures are amazing fun, challenging, safe, and the oppottunity of a lifetime for a teenager.
