    Web site :(

    Hi,
Ok guys, I don't know if it is only me but your new web site is not up to the standard I expect from you
I also wonder why it is no more possible to find a list of the instructors; only facilities are listed. Are instructors not able any more to teach independently ?
I really don't get your point with this new web site

The new website does seem like a lot of graphics with similar low levels of content.

I'm quite surprised that the ability to 'find a course' has been removed. There is no way for me to search for specialist courses now. Even the drop down box for dive centers has limited options. SDITDI please please please put back the features that professionals need in order to 'sell' their courses and that allow potential students to 'find' the right people for specific courses. SDITDI is the leader in sidemount diving in Singapore yet you can't even search for the specialist courses. How do people know who to go to if they want to take a specific course? The website doesn't even list the names of SDI Instructor Trainers so how can you expect to increase your market presence?

Unfortunate that as an independent instructor, I no longer feature in the searches. Is that deliberate, or just a glitch? Also, it is a pity that the flash won't work on the ipad, as that's a perfect tool to log in and update student records etc.

Thank you for the feedback. We are currently evaluating the best way(s) to improve and implement the search feature and will have new options available in the coming weeks.

Over the last several months we have been updating and implementing new features on the website to improve overall usability and functionality. Many of the features we have implemented have come from the feedback and constructive criticism we have received. We review all feedback and place valid suggestions on our development/implementation priority list based on information we receive. We know this is an ongoing project and the website will continue to grow based on user feedback.

We greatly appreciate all of you who have submitted valuable feedback and ask one simple thing from you... keep the feedback coming.
    Best Regards,

    Hi,
Sorry Dennis but it sounds to me as typical PR BS
Some simple questions have been asked. It would be nice and respectful to answer them.
    Thanks.

    Jale,
Sorry I missed your original question regarding whether or not instructors are allowed to teach independently. TDI and ERDI instructors are allowed to teach independently, this will never change. SDI Instructors are required to function through an active SDI Facility.
As for the search function by courses, this is being worked on and will be resolved shortly. But we will only be listing Dive Centers in our searches as a benefit to facility membership. If you would like to become a training facility, simply contact Cris Merz directly at cris.merz@tdisdi.com with all of your contact information and he can assist you, as your Scubaboard name does not come up in our database.

    Hi Dennis,
    Tanks for clarifying.
But I don't understand why independent instructors are left out of the listing. Do they not pay their fee also? Do they not deserve also such basic "benefit" as just to be listed?
So now if you want to be listed you need to pretend to be a "facility" and pay another fee?
Sorry but I don't get the logic behind (except for you making a extra buck ).
    Jale.

I don't know for sure if it's the same in the rest of the world but in the UK there is no charge for being a facility.
