Join us for a Tiger Shark Trip to Tiger Beach and the outer reefs along the Little Bahamas Banks. The cost of the trip is 2805.00 USD and includes diving for Tiger, Great Hammerhead, Lemon and Caribbean Reef Sharks for 5 days. We will spend 7 nights aboard the M/V Shear Water with all food, beverages, tanks, weights and air fills included. Nitrox is available for $100.00 if you want it, but you wont need it. The boat will depart and return to West Palm Beach, Florida where there are hassle free flights available in and out. The airport is 20 minutes to the boat. This trip is planned for underwater photographers and experienced divers who have an interest in sharks and close - up action. There will be no cage and you will be underwater with several large sharks that are baited to provide the safest interaction you might ever experience. This trip provides some of the most exciting, extreme, and rewarding diving you might ever do. I can guarantee that you will return with a new appreciation of sharks and if you are a photographer you will return with great images.

We will spend some time taking images of Tiger Sharks and Lemon sharks topside with cameras trying to get bite shots as the sharks chase after bait on the surface, as well as a chance to swim with dolphins.

Tiger Beach is located about 25 miles north of Grand Bahamas Island is near the western side of the Little Bahamas Banks. The M/V Shear Water is owned and operated by Jim Abernethy. Jim and his professional crew have been diving the Bahamain waters for the past 15 years and taking divers on these adventures for almost as many years. Jim and his crew are some of the most skilled and experienced shark operators in the world and have an excellent record for getting divers closeup with sharks.

Thanks for the negativity towards diving with sharks. Our trip is just as safe as any other diving trip. It compares with all tropical trips in price. Negativity only fuels shows on Shark Week which does a great job of scaring people away from one of the most intelligent fish in the sea. Diving with large sharks is an exciting activity. Your chances are greater in getting struck by lightning than attacked by a shark. These big fish are just as scared of you as you are of them. All divers are given a 2 hour briefing before entering the water. Sharks do not eat people, sharks eat dead and wounded fish, they are the cleansers of the sea. Maybe a little more education on sharks will ease your feelings towards them it's no more foolish than getting in your car and driving on the freeway as you are more apt to have an accident there than in the water with these great creatures. I invite you to visit IDIVESHARKS.com and you will see the enthusiasm other divers like yourself have for these animals.

I've been on that trip with Jim several times and would highly recommend it to anyone who is a shark enthusiast and/or photographer. Jim and his crew do an outstanding job and safety is their number one priority. Have a great time! Wish I could join you!

I will be doing this trip again with Shark diver Magazine in December. I highly recommend this trip that tndiver1 is advertising for all shark enthusiasts. It's a great price for a liveaboard and guarranteed dives with some amazing creatures!

Have a great trip!

To anyone who wants to dive with sharks, especially those requiring bait or done without cages, take advantage of the great / quality trips that are out there right now in the Bahamas right now because in the future it is very likely you will not have the opportunity. Same with swimming with dolphins, manatees, and whale for that matter.

The trips mentioned here are great and I have been on many of them. If you want a winter getaway I have chartered the Dolphin Dream to Tiger Beach (for Tiger/ hammerheads) this January and have a few spaces left.

You will be diving with an excellent crew on a comfortable boat, but better yet the other divers are all very excellent divers and most are serious photographers including myself. Together we will work at getting the most and best photographic opportunities for each of the shark species. Diving, photography, and improving our photography is the goal of this trip.

We leave from West Palm Beach so getting there is easy. The trip is in Bahamas waters.

Shark Diving on a Live Aboard Dive Boat the Bahamas - Cage less encounters with Tiger and Great Hammerhead Sharks

Do it before "They" regulate you rights to experience these great creatures away!

I LOVE the Dolphin Dream and it's crew! They are very top notch! I will be going out again with them in December. One thing, it's not a luxury yacht. It's a renovated 85' fishing boat. BUT, it is a heavy boat and believe me, when you do the crossing, and settle in at night, it's definitely the better boat to live on! Also, the cook is the best, especially, with the fresh fish the crew would catch as we were having some awesome shark dives.

I agree. I have been on the Dolphin Dream many times for dolphins and shark charters and the food has always been fantastic! Some of my crossings have been rough but the stable boat made it manageable . The crew is also top notch. I have also been on the Shearwater and it is very tight: When you want to help yourself to seconds at dinner, the whole table has to stand up to let you out - no so on the larger Dolphin Dream.

It's considered uncool to hijack someone's trip thread to post your own trip to the same destination on a different boat. Especially when you compare boats unfavorably. Start your own thread.

True dat Wookie. Jim Abernathy runs a good operation and I support them and many of the liveaboards that dive Tiger beach.
