Hi All,
I am excited to announce that I will speak at the ODEX in Sydney, Australia, Sept 8-9. This should be a great water sports exhibition with everything from fin-swimming competitions to interesting talks.
I will tell the story of the deep water photography I did during the last two years in Malapascua Island, Philippines. On the hunt for rare gobies, I took my camera down to depths of 80 m. Such dives can't be undertaken on a whim, but they require extensive training and advanced gear. But, the training and the equipment purchases were worth it! The deep dives led me into unbelievable tranquil habitats rarely visited by divers and populated by fascinating marine life. I will share my impressions of the deep parts of the Philippine coral reefs and show photos of rarely or never before seen ocean animals.
Hope to see the lots of Aussie ScubaBoard members there,
Klaus
