This is a nice event. If you are interested in learning a bit about cavern or cave diving or if you are a cavern or cave diver, you will really enjoy this. There are some true 'legends' that attend this event every year and share much from past, present and future. They really give back to everyone with an interest. Cavern, sump, exploration, fitness, safety, equipment, etc. are all topics of presentations and conversations.

There are usually incredible prizes given out. Some are attendance drawings, some are raffle drawings, some silent auctions, etc. As an example, a couple of years ago I won my Hollis Side Mount harness. Regulators, lights, reels, training courses (Cavern, Intro Cave, Nitrox, etc.) are donated by folks and raffled off to support the NSS CDS. Art work, books. and lodging at Florida cave country locations are often part of the mix.

Presentations on explorations, skills, equipment, conservation and lots of other topics are presented with lots of opportunities to interact, ask questions and get exposed to lots of facets of the cavern/cave world. The last few years many OW divers have attended to investigate this bizarre addiction many of us have. So, it's a great place to network with people that are just curious to folks that have truly shaped the training and equipment of the sport.

And, as mentioned, we work in as much diving before and after the workshop as conditions allow. So, if you are trained from Cavern to Technical Cave, we'll hook you up with someone to dive with.
