Looking forward to SCUBA FEST in Columbus, Ohio! Starting to get ready. Deciding on a list of goods to donate and working my presentation. On that note, my presentation this year is going to be on

Ratios and Their Effects on Safety.

It was noted on the website that this was for dive professionals. IT IS NOT JUST FOR DIVE PROS! Heck we know the ratios. We know why they exist. The ones who often do not are divers and those considering taking up SCUBA. This talk is for them as much as it is for pros. Probably more!

Do you know how many students your instructor is allowed to take on a dive? In the pool? Is that number safe depending on conditions? When should ratios be adjusted? Who decides? Just because they are allowed to take x number of students, should they? What does that do to your safety? Your learning experience? Does profit have something to do with how many people are in the water?

To find out come and sit in on my talk this year.

Who knows, after this one I may get run out of the show!
