This is the story about the attempts; difficulties, failures and successes during Cristina’s solitary quest for a connection she was told didn’t exist

Not only will there be great presentations, but also tons of door/raffle prizes. Everyone that attends will receive one ticket at the door with the opportunity to increase your chance of winning by purchasing extra tickets. Prizes will include lights, computers, harnesses, reels, and much more.

Be sure to attend the Friday Night Social on May 15 from 6:30-9:30, held at the Armory. This is a great kickoff to the Workshop with a time to socialize with friends and meet new ones. There will be hamburgers, hotdogs, and more. There will also be BEER (craft beer too).

First ever NSS CDS Rebreather Try and Fly Event @ Ginnie Springs May 17th

This year we have added an exciting new event to the Sunday after the Workshop, the Rebreather Try and Fly Event. This event will give divers a chance to experience what diving a rebreather is all about. It will also give current rebreather divers a chance to learn more and try out some of the latest rebreathers on the market.

Rebreather manufacturers participating in the event include Hammerhead, SF2, JJ, Golem Gear, O2ptima, and KISS.

How is it going to work? The day will kick off around 9 am at the Ginnie pavilion where each manufacture will take some time to go over all of the details of their units. Then there will be time for break out sessions where you can spend some time one on one with the manufacturers asking questions. At that point you can take whichever units you choose for a dive. Try as many as you can and get a chance to compare them first hand.

No rebreather certification required. Bring all of your diving essentials (exposure protection, mask, and fins). Admission to Ginnie Springs not included.

I've seen FB posts/pics of lots of cool prizes.

Really sad that I am not going to make it, who knows might have a change of plans.

Yeah, the chance to try several rebreathers at one time is perfect, to bad SF2 isn't going to be there with their rebreather.

Correction.... SF2 IS going to be there.... for a first experience with rebreathers, their unit was pretty spectacular!!

I'm definitely not going to make the rebreather experience, that said, I would love to hear how the SF2 compares to other units with traditional counter lungs?? I"m imagining the SF2 counter lung to be hard to beat...

Just for a clarification... Something happened in the midst of copying and pasting.

Edd Sorenson will be kicking off the presentations on Saturday speaking from 9:30 - 10:10 on current exploration projects around Marianna, FL. I am also hearing that a new map of JB will be revealed!! Going to be a great presentation.

Great event! Thanks to all sponsors and presenters for making this a great event! We really enjoyed it.
