************************************************** ******************
Introduction to Technical Diving
November 14th 2008
Henderson Sport Chalet
6:30 to 9:30 PM
Presented by: Joel D. Silverstein, Vice president and Chief Operating officer, Tech Diving Limited

Divers over the past decade have had an increased interest in exploring deeper wrecks, caves, and reefs. This program explores the different types of technical diving, how it's done, why it's done and both the benefits and hazards of using mixed gasses and rebreathers. We will also look at what tools and techniques recreational divers can learn from technical divers. This is a fun and exciting presentation that lets you take a peek into this exciting and challenging method of diving.

Joel D. Silverstein is Vice president and Chief Operating officer of Tech Diving Limited, a dive equipment and training development company in Lake Havasu City AZ. He is a leading specialist in technical diver training and exploration. He is the author of three books, and six technical training programs, a major contributor to the NOAA Diving Manual, and well over 100 articles on scuba diving training, exploration, technology. He has conducted more than 5,300 dives with such noted expeditions to the USS Monitor, Andrea Doria, Wilkes Barre, SS Republic, co-locator of the B-36 Bomber in San Diego, and is a permit holder for the B-29 Bomber in Lake Mead.
