ECARA has event at NC Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores
It's time for the Eastern Carolina Artificial Reef Association's Annual Fund Raiser. It will be on Saturday, March 7th. In the past, this has consisted of a fundraising dinner and programs at the Aquarium in Pine Knoll Shores. This year due to the state of the economy we have decided to open the Aquarium up to divers, fishermen & anyone interested in the Artificial Reef program .... Free of charge and ask those that can, to donate whatever they can. There will be a dive in the sub tank, an otter enrichment program, an exhibit of antique scuba equipment, a silent auction, a presentation on the Hutton vs. Papoose vs. Ario and of course lots of information about artificial reefs. If you have any questions please contact us and of course if you are not doing anything March 7th, come out and enjoy this night at the Aquarium. Admission is free.
If you would like to eat, the cost to join the ECARA is $30/person and will gain you access to the Sound Side Hall for the heavy hors d'oeuvers and an open bar of beer and wine. If you would like to eat, call Discovery Diving at 252-728-2265 or email them at dive@discoverydiving.com so they can tell the caterer how many will be eating.
