just a brief rundown on the DRT Show held last weekend (8-10 July. 2011).
travel agents, travel agents, travel agents... reps from resorts, liveaboards, and national tourism boards...a few clothing vendors...a few magazine sales people...a few environmental orgs...some gear manufacturers...PADI and NAUI...and a few more travel agents.
boring? pretty much. A few jerks, especially the Southafrican/seffrican (from Bauer Compressor I think; sorry if I'm wrong on the exhibitor) who tried to hit on my wife.:mooner:
summary: waste of time in a lousy part of Hong Kong (inconvenient to get to that building). best thing in my opinion was meeting an old-tiimer who was bulding camera housiings back in the 1960's.
