I did a search, I got a million answers and none of them were what I was looking for.
I have the XZ-1 with the PT050 housing. I just bought a dyron +7 macro lens. I shoot in manual mode. Do I leave the camera in manual or put the camera in Macro mode? This is my first time with a macro lens.

You want to shoot at F8, zoomed in all the way. With a diopter, it doesn't matter if you are in macro mode or not, either way your camera will focus at the right distance. I'd highly recommend a good focus light like the Sola 500 or Sola 800. Hope this helps! - Scott
