It is a problem here too, 80% of the time they just don't know that by stepping on the coral does actually kill it. I just swim up and politely explain whats going and most are apologetic and move right off. The other 20% are normally cocky or just plain rude... I then tend to just stay there stareing untill they move or swim off and say "Wow a Shark" and then they tend to swim to shore quickly Either way I would say something nicely and hopefully you'll get a postive response.... otherwise they'll continue to do it without knowing...
