    Do you have a right?

I was snorkling today and this was really pissing me off. This guys were just stainding their and crushing the reefs just stomping it and they had a life jacket on. I didnt understiand why they could just float on their back instead of destorying the reefs. Do other people as an observer say something to presureve this or should I of just minded my own busness

Talk to them in a friendly manner. They may not be aware of the damage. If they don't stop their illegal behavor, call the cops.

What he said, unless you're willing and able to take it to the parking lot. Hopefully, they're just ignorant and not just raging dockheads.

Taking it to the parking lot is never the answer. You'll have the advantage by keeping it in the water. Seriously, there's no need to get physical. If it becomes necessary to get physical, let the folks do it who are paid to do so and won't end up in jail as a result.

Maybe I didn't phrase that right, but (gasp) I completely agree with Walter.

It is legal to wear a life vest and walk along the coast during low tide, or semi-float and stand on reefs in most parts of the world.

There is not normally enough game wardens or enforcement officers to enforce in protected areas in most parts of the world where there are laws about walking on a reef.

It may be best to talk to and educate people.

I might politely mention that the broken bits of reef contain nutrients that attract sharks and that people in life jackets in about that depth resemble seals, which just happen to be the sharks' favorite food. You might even ask them to wait around so you can get your camera. Or if you are feeling real magnanimous, you could ask who their next of kin might be.

haha yea I'm gonna have to go with Bruce on that one! If the people are dumb enough to walk on the reef, you could probably tell them anything and they'll believe it. Plus, seeing them freak out about sharks would probably make you feel a little better inside as well!
