    Cutey Wetsuit or not?

Greetings from West London! The last time I went snorkelling was around 25 years ago when I was a mere slip of a lad! I'm now a little more 'robust'! I'm hoping to take the plunge again (pardon the pun) next April in Mallorca. I have a half decent mask (Beaver Atomic) & snorkel (Beaver) & a pair of Aquatics 'Shredder Surf' short/travel fins.
I'd be grateful for the benefit of the wealth of experience here on Scubaboard, so have a few questions.
    1. Will I need a wetsuit (April in Mallorca)? I've tried to find out what the temp' of the Mediterranean sea will be, but haven't had much luck.
    2. If I do need a wetsuit, what do you recommend? I'm 5' 10" & 300 lbs. I found one on Ebay for around ޣ35 ($60) 3mm 'titanium' Neoprene (Shorty).

    Cheers!

I like the Beaver line of gear. My roommate is British and delights in bringing me Beaver shirts to wear.

A 3mm shorty is doable but, you may be chilly. Would definately bring a lot to wear when you are not in the water. A 3mm full would be a lot better and a beanie or hood for your head would be perfect.

    Just my opinion.

    Cheers!
Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checked by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows not victory or defeat

60 deg F is 7mm wetsuit territory for me, plus a hood, but everyone is different. The problem is that the thicker the wetsuit, the more work to get into them and to zip up.

Maybe multilayers might be an option.
