OK So I tried searching the forums...but I guess I am not capable of doing that.

I am looking for a live-aboard for Catalina for late sprin-early summer. Anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks for the help.

Great Escape Diveboat out of Long Beach has good extended/overnight charters to Catalina & San Clemente Islands, usually falling on the major Holidays (Independence Day is usually booked by Sports Chalet http://www.sportchalet.com/corp/index.jsp?page=divers_charters ; or Reefseekers http://www.reefseekers.com/local_trips.html; Memorial & Labor Days are already booked --call Esther Carbonell for reservation):

Also recommend looking at the Truth Aquatics Fleet out of Santa Barbara as well:

ScubaLuv's King Neptune will do multi-day liveaboard charters, but their normal schedule is day tripping out of Avalon. You'd have to look for multi-day trips out of mainland ports, or charter the boat with a group.

Bottom Scratcher:
jmani - Here is a list of dive boats in CA http://californiadiveboats.com/
Also, there are boats which work out of Avalon located on the island and Avalon has nice hotel facilities.

I know, and a friend is friends with the owners of scubaluv, but I really want a liveaboard so I don't have to worry about food lodgings etc.

Thanks for the help though.

Best bet would be to skip Catalina and do a Channel Island dive on the Truth, Peace, or Vision. They are real live aboard boats. (although why anybody would want to eat boat food when they could be dining on white sea bass at Armstrong's and sleeping in a real bed is beyond me)

Not Catalina and in late Winter-early Spring, but a potentially good trip nonetheless:
