a rumor of a stuck whale at seal beach?

i am a pilot and heard some chatter on the radio yesterday about somebody saying there was a whale stuck in a fishing net near the seal beach pier. has anybody heard anything like this? i had no way to confirm anything so at this point it is just a rumor.
