Heading down to San Diego for our Great White liveaboard. Have a day to spend in SAN and wanted to know if the Cove is diving? What can we expect the temps right now and who to dive with? We will be down next week?

Cove is always diving, just setup at top of stairs on the lawn, parking is pretty miserable. As for a guide, not really needed kick out to bouys (first bouy , then work way south and then back towards entry is popular (probably a piss poor explanation, but somebody will be diving and can easily point it out to you) lajolla shores is much easier parking, setup in kellog park, kick out so you line the condos and palm trees on shore, then look north, line palm trees on hill with end of peer. When they line up drop down, take a western heading until you get to the wall, very easy dive. Also you could try waterhorse charters, marissa, or the lois ann, they typically will offer a two or three tank wreck dive (yukon, Ruby) or kelp , and temperatures lately have been warm at depth, mid to high sixties, but high fifties is more the norm
