I recently went on a trip to Catalina and San Clemente, and unfortunately found the kelp forests are currently being stifled by the Sargassum. I was wondering if anyone has been out recently to Santa Cruz, Anacapa, San Miguel or Santa Rosa...

Does the kelp still grow to the surface or is it struggling?

Would greatly appreciate any knowledge!
