also does anyone know if the sigma 19mm is the same length as the sony 16mm pancake ? wondering if my 19 will fit in a housing designed for the 16

The sigma is 60 mm long, the sony is 20 mm long so my guess is no. There is a big discussion here on the Meikon housings. Generally OK but not great.

thanks Bill. been searching for months to the answer to that question. the 16mm pancake is a little bit soft, especially around the edges so I'm hesitant to get the housing for it. wondering if it might be more cost effective to get a canon camera, as their housings are much more affordable and seem to be good quality. the nauticam and 10-bar housings are big bucks.
