Upstate Scuba took students to dive the hot hole today. So here is the trip report.


Surface Air Temp: 63 degrees
Surface Water Temp: 59 degrees
At depth temp in warm output current: 69 degrees
Visibility was 10 feet before students mucked it up.
Fish life was abundant
Current was just fast enough to enjoy the treasure hunt or follow the ropes with minimal difficulty.

Surface Air Temp: 73 degrees
Surface Water Temp: 67 degrees
At depth temp in warm output current: 72 degrees
Visibility was 20 feet
Fish life was abundant
Current was just faster today still able to enjoy the treasure hunt or follow the ropes with minimal difficulty.

Surface Water Temp: 64 degrees
At depth temp in warm output current: 66 degrees
Visibility was 15 feet
Fish life was abundant

Oconee Nuclear Plant has started an outage this past weekend so they were pumping cold water out of tubes 2, 3, 4. And tube one was not very fast flowing so depth water temps where mid 60's
 
Surface Air Temp: 84 degrees
Surface Water Temp: 71 degrees
At depth temp below Lake Keowee Marina: 66 degrees
Visibility was 15 feet

our warm winter has allowed Keowee to stay nice all year round. Last week I did some training with Oconee Dive Team and the water at 130 bridge was high sixties to 40 feet.
