Although it's been said.. Thanks Pete! We're also referring parents to Scubaboard to get interested in the sport and learn about what the kids- and hopefully they- are getting into. A thanks to you for having SB here for us- it's been a great networking tool for us to talk to shops, manufacturers, and divers who have contributed to our cause. Thanks for all the support!!!!
Just a reminder, it's not too late to get a last minute donation in and get that dollar for dollar credit on your AZ state taxes!!!!! Thanks to everyone who has donated and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask or PM me!
Just wanted to say thanks to all who helped out last year, and to let you all know that after the success of last year, the club has begun it's second go-around. We have just over 20 kids this time (with more waiting) who are all excited to get into the swing of things. And I know it's early, but just wanted to take the time to ask anyone who can, to please consider donating to this great cause. Same rules apply as last year- you get a dollar for dollar credit on your AZ taxes for the amount you donate.
Unfortunately for the club, Rob and Jen who graciously donated their time to teach OW and Seal Team classes for the kids and families have moved across the country... We're hoping to fill their big shoes and complete our IDC and IE this fall so as to keep the free instruction theme going for the kids.
All donations are controlled by the club and go towards club materials- Seal Team books, Fish ID books, movies, and small gear for the kids (mask, snorkel, fins). Again, thanks for looking and if anyone has any questions please ask!!!! The club runs purely on donations and is a labor of love to share the underwater world with the kids. Thanks again, Kris
Update... It's been a while, but wanted to send a public thanks to Tobin from DSS for sending several masks, fins, and boots (kid sized!) our way! A very generous donation and we really appreciate it! Thanks Tobin!
And also a continued HUGE thanks to AZ's own Oasis Divers in Phoenix (Tempe too!) for donating more pool time for the kids to get a taste of diving! They really enjoyed the experience and we really appreciate the free time in the water-indoors especially! Thanks go out to all the shop staff for being so gracious with our little group!
