No worries, Bill. I talked to Mindy and I'll probably join them tomorrow. They're doing a rescue class but I'll get to play victim. If anybody else wants to join us we'll be west of the spillway area between the spillway and Beismeyer Point.
I had fun diving with you and Mike and Hunter at the show. I ended up getting something from the raffle; a t-shirt, no-fog, OMS cap and a Dive Rite beer can boot thingie. I'll post it here if I go out next weekend.
Steve.

If you plan on diving next weekend, let me know.
Did some diving and teaching this weekend at Lake Pleasant. Thanks to Steve for helping out Sunday with our rescue class, he was a great "victim" for us!
If you want to cavern/cave dive, get trained! OW divers die in caverns and caves every year. Don't become a statistic! Don't leave your family wondering why.
Hi all, I was just reading the paper and apparently Scorpion Bay Marina opens next thursday, I was taking a look at some pictures and what it used to be the wall, seems to be pretty far from the docks and stuff, maybe it can be dove again, has anyone been around there checking it out?

I'm thinking about checking it out next Sunday. It looks like the cost of getting in on the west side won't be going up (at least it didn't say anything about it in the paper). It looks like, if we can get to the water, it won't be any worse than diving next to the 10-lane boat ramp.
The paper also said that Pleasant Harbor was going private as of this weekend. That may mean that Vista Point and Spring Canyon Landing are off the list of dive spots. That's a shame because the vis off SCL ramined pretty good even when the lake is at it's low point.

I am not sure that means Vista Point? The Marina is going private not the boat ramp closest to Vista. The article said that was still open to the public...at least that was my take on it. But no more eating in the restaurant, which was fun about once or twice a year. And no more GUE fundamentals lectures in the restaurant either....or sending over orders to bring back food.

I hope you're right and I'm wrong. Maybe the fundies lectures can be moved to the new resturant at Scorpion Bay. Speaking of which, I'm interested in taking the GUE fundamentals class at some point. Could you give me some info on who to contact?

I am going to the lake tomorrow morning and will check the old Scorpion Bay site. Will let you know what's up.
Steve: Right now, I anticipate being free both Saturday and Sunday next weekend. If interested, let me know.
