Anyone been out diving lately at the lake or anywhere? I have been out of action for about 2 weeks and losing my mind. That and I have new gear coming in (doubles, cannister light, etc.) and I want to dive it so I am holding off until it all comes in.

Well we were out testing out the Lake waters and it was a balmy 57 degrees at 60 feet, surprisingly visibilty had improved since our last outting. Still not much to see, I keep hoping that I will stumble upon something interesting to see. We should be back out at the lake again this weekend probably both sat & sun, if anyone would care to join us.

Dove down by the 10 lane boat ramp today....got a couple dives in....surface temp was 62 and bottom temp 57.... A bit cold even with the semi-dry....Guess it is time to spring for a dry suite!!! Vis was about 6ft but below 45ft it gets a bit dark, used lights to find our way arround.... Didn't see any life or find much!!! But got wet and blew some bubles....Made a good day!!!

I assume most of you have completed your Xmas shopping...most likely no lake this weekend, Xmas lists to complete. But possibly......may run it by the boss

If anyone is heading to the lake this weekend (or any time) and needs a buddy let me know. I am looking to do some diving but I don't have any friends that dive :( (I know I need new friends).

Keep checking the board. There's usually someone going out each weekend. Maybe once I get through the year end I'll be one of them.

I'm always up for a dive and it's tough to find anyone who doesn't mind the cold. I'll PM you.

Well dove at Vista Point this morning, and man was it firgid on the surface, I believe it was 34 according to my trucks thermostat, and it the wind was blowing fairly hard, almost enough to make the waves have white caps, almost. the water conditiosn were a a balmy 54 degrees so not to shabby, was that temperature all teh way downt o 95 feet where we bottomed out, could not find any deeper water if we tried.

visibilty was around 10 feet or so, I was quite surprised actually, i figured it would be worse but go figure, apparently Pleasant doesn;t play by the rules of artificial lakes.

Going to repeat this again tomorrow and do some more reel work and get use to the hole doubles thing still, there a bit different then diving singles, especially the wing, not like venting an eclipse you have to shift air from one side to the other or it will not all vent out, which makes it a bit more difficult.

Hope everyone is enjoying their holidays.

Merry Xmas

Steve
