Fractured femur is it safe to dive?

Hi

I fractured my femur back in jan 09 and had an intramedullary nail put into my femur. My surgeon has said it is ok to go back to diving as the fracture has nearly healed as long as i am not finning in strong currents.

Having read on the DAN website that your may be more at risk of DCS while diving with an injury/fracture. Is it safe for me to dive?

If anyone has any experience or views on this i would be very grateful

Call the DAN docs and ask them . . they will have the best recommendation.
