Hello SSI guy, my question is about the swimming requirement for my divecon class. I have gotten out of shape and would like to start prepairing for my divecon class by spending some time in the pool. What are the requirements for the watermanship portion of the class. I remember ow class was something like 200 yard swim. But what is it for dive con ?
Thanks for your help.
Kenny
There's actually plenty of time to finish the swim and snorkel portions, if only you practice your swimming strokes a bit before hand. If you're not a strong swimmer, I'd suggest spending some quality time with either other DiveCons or Instructors where you are, or get with a friend you know is a strong swimmer and have them help you hone your strokes. You'll hopefully find your DiveCon instructors are only more than happy to help you however they can, including working on your swimming strokes.
