Hi All

New poster here so please go easy on me :)

I have just picked up a used ys27dx with a sea arm light arm set for use with an oly xz2. The strobe is in good condition, however the arms are in need of new o-rings, and I cannot find anything about them at all!

Does anyone know what size orings are used on the ball and also the strobe / tray mounting ends (and hardness if possible) or where to source them (i'm in oz)

The other question that I thought was obvious but cannot find anywhere is.. do the orings on the arms get lubricated? an hour of searching on the internet brought nothing up..

Thanks in advance

I never have lubed the o-rings on my arms, I want them to be slightly sticky for ease of movement. Take your old o-ring down to the local hardware store; they will have something that fits. Black Buna (nitrile) in shore 70 or 90 should do it.

Thanks Bill

My next step was matching at a local specialist.. I'm looking at getting new arms and tray eventually.. but these will do for the short term as they pretty much came 'free' with a cheap used ys27dx strobe. They will give me a chance to start using the external strobe rather than just the internal on my oly xz-2.
