Sea and Sea YS-01 stop working

I've posted in the manufacturer's forum. In case any of you have similar experience.
After more than 3 years (approx. 300 dives) one of my YS-01 suddenly stop working when I was in the water.
No leakage. I can feel strobe body was a bit warm and I there's small buzling noise. The focus light does not work either.
Is there anything I can do or simply I have to say good bye ?

100% sure, no flooding, no single drop of water in the battery compartment.
It just suddenly stop working after dozens shots during the diving.

batteries?
just thought i would ask the obvious question. i once had a strobe "fail". i even swapped batteries between strobes. still did not work. the rechargeable batteries even worked fine in several other toys.

i eventually tried some brand new batteries and the strobe worked perfectly.

i suspect that the original rechargeable batteries had aged to a point where they provided either insufficient voltage or current for the strobe circuitry. not sure. the fact that the batteries worked fine in other devices (Wii motes, computer mice, flashlight) added some confusion to my troubleshooting.

giffenk---that would be a head-scratcher, but (rechargeable) batteries do have a life(time)to them.....Great point to bring up.......

but not the batteries. I did check with full power battery (1.5 V) still not working. The indicator light does not turn on.

That would make me very sad.....Love my YS-01 strobe.....
