sandblasting/glassbeading a used tank

Any one have any precautions or warnings about sandblasting a AL100 tank. It has a current hydro (I'll protect the markings) and the vis runs out next month, so it'll be inspected then anyway. I just got it and want to go from scratch off paint to a pebbled surface.

Is this okay to do or are there other recommendations about how to refinish?
