According to Catalina's web site, they recommend a 90 Duro #214 O-ring for tanks (Eaxn 40% or less).

McMaster-Carr only carries 70-75 Duro O-rings. Does it make that much differance? Is 70-75 Duro not hard enough?

We have a storeroom full of O-rings at work so I have used those in the past. They are softer than 'proper' o-rings. They seal just fine but do shwon signs of wear faster than normal. I usually use ones from the dive shop but have a few work ones in the tool box 'just in case'
